Requests for repeat prescriptions may be made in the following ways:
Prescription orders are collected daily from the surgery by Lloyds Pharmacy in Benson and Boots in Wallingford.
Your medication can be collected from Lloyds Pharmacy in Benson 7 days after you put in your request. Lloyds also runs a home delivery service. Please ask at the Pharmacy for more details.
Pharmacy2U posts medication out to patients. For more information visit their website.
If you are ordering your medication early because you are going away on holiday please add a note to the request form.
Ask for a leaflet from reception that gives more information about ordering repeat prescriptions.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
Please allow 24 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
This is a service that allows prescriptions to go electronically to pharmacies, rather than the usual paper system. This means you can request your prescription to go anywhere within the country taking NHS prescriptions. For more details speak to reception or your usual pharmacist.
