Repeat Prescriptions

Requests for repeat prescriptions may be made in the following ways:

• by telephone after 10.00am
• by leaving the prescription request form at the surgery (we have a post box in the lobby for them),
• by following the link at the top of this page to the online service
• by leaving the prescription request form at Benson pharmacy (please allow an extra day if you do this)
• through a postal service run by Pharmacy2U.

Prescription orders are collected daily from the surgery by Lloyds Pharmacy in Benson and Boots in Wallingford.

Your medication can be collected from Lloyds Pharmacy in Benson after 3.30pm the following day. Lloyds also runs a home delivery service. Please ask at the Pharmacy for more details.

Pharmacy2U posts medication out within 24 hours of receiving a prescription.

If you are ordering your medication early because you are going away on holiday please add a note to the request form.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

Please allow 3 workings days, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
