GPs are able to recommend trusted health and wellbeing apps on the NHS Apps Library to their patients. The NHS Apps Library currently has more than 70 apps covering a wide range of health and wellbeing specialisms and physical activity monitors and has now had more than a million visits. Mental health apps have so far proved to be the most popular followed by pregnancy and baby apps, with sleep, diabetes and healthy living making up the remaining top five categories.

The Annual Open Meeting of Mill Stream Patients Panel will take place in the Parish Hall Lounge on Wednesday 11th September at 7.30 pm.

This year we are trying to ensure that the ‘face to face’ Panel is more representative of our community and have introduced a new system for electing up to 10 members onto the Panel.  We’d especially welcome younger people and their ideas for a better NHS, fit for the future.  The welcome leaflet gives you an idea of what we do, so please consider joining us.

Any patient registered at Mill Stream Surgery is eligible to put their name forward for election. You just need two other Mill Stream patients to propose and second you on the  nomination form. Forms are also available at the surgery.  Nomination forms need to be returned to Sarah Tipple, Acting Practice Manager at the surgery by 6th September.  Voting will take place at the meeting on 11th September.

Our guest speaker this year will be Rosalind Pearce, Director of Healthwatch Oxfordshire who will speak on the topic 'Your NHS - What's going on? A View from Healthwatch Oxfordshire'. This will be followed by a discussion on patients' views and experiences of the NHS.
