GPs are able to recommend trusted health and wellbeing apps on the NHS Apps Library to their patients. The NHS Apps Library currently has more than 70 apps covering a wide range of health and wellbeing specialisms and physical activity monitors and has now had more than a million visits. Mental health apps have so far proved to be the most popular followed by pregnancy and baby apps, with sleep, diabetes and healthy living making up the remaining top five categories.

Electronic records and online services

Electronic records and online access

As you will see on our home page, we offer online appointment booking, and online ordering of repeat prescriptions, as well as a facility allowing you to view your entire medical record online.

Patients wanting online access to their medical records should ask at reception, who will be ask them to fill out a form and provide photographic id such as your passport or driving licence. Patients will then be contacted by the surgery once the registration is complete.

We ask that patients are aware that their access is at the discretion of their doctor, and we retain the right to refuse access completely if we have any concerns that access would cause harm to a patient or to limit the amount of access available.

Parents wanting access to their child's medical record will need to speak to reception to discuss the application first. For confidentiality reasons, our clinical software automatically removes online access for children once they have reached 12 years old. Children 16 or above, and any adult wishing to give a family member access to their medical records online will need to see a doctor first and give us written evidence that they wish this to occur.
