GPs are able to recommend trusted health and wellbeing apps on the NHS Apps Library to their patients. The NHS Apps Library currently has more than 70 apps covering a wide range of health and wellbeing specialisms and physical activity monitors and has now had more than a million visits. Mental health apps have so far proved to be the most popular followed by pregnancy and baby apps, with sleep, diabetes and healthy living making up the remaining top five categories.

NHS Digital, part of the NHS,uses data to link information from all the different places where you receive care, such as your GP, hospital and community service, to help us provide a full picture. This will help with planning services and will allow the NHS to compare the care received in one area against the care received in another, so they can see what has worked best. 

How your information is used and shared is controlled by law and strict rules are in place to protect your privacy.
